I began this self initiated project last week. Bringing to life those beautiful satelite images from Google Maps.
I created 3 animated versions of these maps in this website:

What is the meaning of life? Is there life in other planets? Who is the best Beatle? So many great question, all without answer. It’s time to answer one of them.
I made this tiny website, where you can “like” the Beatle you like the most and share it. Most people will probably argue between Paul and John. I’m very much in the corner of George. So many great songs, but even one of them, “something”, would be enough. Who is your favourite Beatle? Come and choose…

Thanks a lot to my friend Sigalit,  that transformed my idea and design to an HTML that actually works.

For the second time, I had the chance to give a public presentation about Laaz (לעז), my website of Hebrew translations to (mostly) famous pop songs. It’s in Hebrew, so some of you will not understand, BUT if you skip to 9:30 or so, you will see me performing with the guitar 5 songs that users uploaded to laaz. Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Queen, and two songs by The Beatles.

יהההה!!! תנו בכפיים לפרוייקט החדש שלי – הגיספנומטור
השם שלו די מרמז על מה שהוא עושה. הגיספנומטור הוא אפליקציית ווב קטנה שמייצרת מילים לשירים מזרחיים, בעיקר בהשראת המלך של הז’אנר – התמלילן יוסי גיספן. אז תיכנסו, תלחצו על הכפתור שמרענן את השיר ותהנו מאינסוף שירים ושתפו אותם עם החברים שלכם בפייסבוק

קצת על העבודה על הגיספנומטור
הרעיון עלה לי השבוע, ומיד התחלתי בעבודה. יצרתי כמה תבניות של שירים, שנראות בערך ככה

אלוהים C

אח”כ חפרתי וחפרתי במילים של השירים של גיספן, ודליתי את השורות, המילים והמטאפורות המתאימות. יצרתי בנק של אפשרויות לכל משתנה, וזהו בגדול. זה השלב בו אלי קרופיצקי נכנס לתמונה, ותכנת את הדבר הזה בקלילות. אלי זה גם המתכנת של לעז, ככה שבאמת הגיספנומטור זה פינאטס בשבילו. אז עכשיו יש בגיספנומטור 5 תבניות שונות של שירים, ובכל אחת בערך 10 משתנים, ובכל משתנה יש בין 10 ל-60 ערכים. בקיצור, זה יוצא המון המון המון אפשרויות. אני חייב לחשב את זה מתישהו
בימים הקרובים אני אעשה פוסט על התהליך של העיצוב. לפעמים אני מעצב קצת מפגר,ואני צריך לעצב ואז לשייף ולטעות ולתקן ולשייף. אז אני אעלה צילומי מסך של כל שלב בשיוף

קצת תיקון לקארמה
כן, הגיספנומטור קצת צוחק על שירים מזרחיים בכלל ויוסי גיספן בפרט. אבל זה המקום להודות שיש לא מעט שירים שהם גילטי פלז’ר בשבילי. האזנה נעימה

I’ve been neglecting my blog for the past two months. For the last month and a half I’ve been working on a website I made. It’s called Laaz.
Laaz gave me the opprotunity to print Tshirts!
The text says “I shot the cheif of police, but I didn’t shoot the deputy cheif of police”, a take on Bob Marley’s song.

I made this interactive video that was sent in our last newsletter. It simulates one aspect of the game. Picking a card, and look at an aspect of your life through a random topic..
