As I was cleaning my CPU earlier today, I’ve bumped into this video. It was shot between sessions while making Hamelin, the stop-motion video, 9 months ago.

So… Here’s me, Aya, Nir and Gilad having some laughs in an Evil Kanievel style.

This video is a first-time for me in many ways. The first time I’ve experimented pixilation. The first time I did a stop-motion animation that was longer than a few seconds. The first time I did a project and really felt like a director, directing other people. I can go on and on. I watch this, I can see a lot of bumps and things I could have done better, but it makes me proud, I must say. I have things that are more “perfect”, but I really like this small video because it made me experiment in a lot of new stuff, and I feel it’s a big step farward for me.

Anyway, thanks for Aya Zahavi Feiglin (That also have a blog with her band that I built and manage) for laying down in some fhilty spaces, and didn’t complain.
Another big thanks goes to  Hilit Rozental, a very talented musician and a very cool girl, for the beautifull song on the background.
Gilad Tasa and Nir Yemini, two great friends, helped moving some stuff, Shirly Kattash and Rotem Smolsky helped me with shooting.

It was probably very stupid of me to do, but I was curious to know how would it look on video if I attach a camera to the bumper of my car. And that’s exactly what I did. Lucky me the camera didn’t fall during the drive. Lucky me there weren’t any speed bumps on the way.
And about the soundtrack… well, I had no idea what will I do with the footage when I shot it, so I didn’t plan anything for the sound. But as I was driving, I hummed myself this musical piece by Bach, called Air. I heard it two days ago in the movie “Collateral” (fun movie, despite lacking in credibility). Anyway, I love this music. Someone hit my car while it was parked, and did’nt leave a note. I don’t know why, but I took my camera to take pics of the hit… and meanwhile, improvised this video.

A tribute for my ’86 Ford Fiesta. It’s 23 years old, almost falling a part, the paint peels, but she’s still runs well.
